2nd APC Badminton Cup Bangalore, India, 9-15th December 2008

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia– The Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) announced that the 2nd APC Badminton Cup will be held in Bangalore, India from 9th to 15th December 2008. The APC had awarded this tournament to NPC India and BSAIC as the joint partner to hold the 2nd APC Badminton Cup on the 26th March 2008.

The APC Cup is organized by the Badminton Sports Association of India for the Challenged (BSAIC), in cooperation with the National Paralympic Committee of India.

The Secretary General of BSAIC, Mr. Ramesh Tikaram said," As this is the second International sports for the challenged in the Indian sports history; we are very proud that India is hosting the International badminton for the second time; it is a remarkable one."
The 1st APC Badminton Cup 2004 was successfully held in Kuala Lumpur with participation of 145 athletes form 10 Asian countries. China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand were among the participating countries in the previous Cup organized by APC in 2004.
