announced officially the host city of 2014 Asian Para Games

- The Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) announced that the
2014 Asian Para Games will be held in Incheon City during
its APC Board of Executives Committee meeting last week in
Tokyo.
The announcement and official awarding will follow with a
contract signing ceremony for the games which will be held
in Incheon on the 30th October 2009 between APC President,
Dato' Zainal Abu Zarin and the Mayor of Incheon City.
APC President Dato' Zainal, after the announcement said,
"I am very excited. During its bid process, Incheon has
shown that it is fully involved and committed in providing
the best competition conditions for the para athletes."
Furthermore
he added,"Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games will set a
bench mark to the future Para Games in Asia. Guangzhou is
hosting the Asian Para Games in 2010 with 5,000 athletes and
officials which is considered the second biggest games in
the world after the Paralympic Games.
Approximately 6000 athletes and officials from 40 APC member
nations will compete in this Incheon 2014 Asian Para Games.
About 23 sports are being offered. The sports offered will
be sanctioned for the future Paralympic Games.
