Bid application of 2014 Asian Para Games

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - On the 29th May 2009, the 2014 Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee visited APC secretariat to submit the bid application of the 2014 Asian Para Games. A four member delegation from Incheon city team spent two days with Asian Paralympic Committee to explain on the content of the bid according to the APC Bid Technical Manual. The discussion was held between APC President, Dato' Zainal Abu Zarin, the APC Secretary General, Ms. Malini and APC GLC member, Mr. S. Radhakrishnanl. Following the discussion was by a press conference where Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee submitted the bid application officially to APC Secretary General and witnessed by APC President and other members.The PC ended with question and answers and photo sessions.

"This meeting was again a very good opportunity to discuss current preparation and planning by the bid city. We had a productive and beneficial discussion and apparently it demonstrated that the bid process was done professionally with fair and transparency. It provided clarity in many areas, particularly the bid and contract documents. The feedback from all the attendees was very encouraging. I am confident that the Organizing Committee of the 2014 Asian Para Games will deliver an excellent Asian Para Games in 2014" said APC President, Dato' Zainal Abu Zarin. Furthermore, he added that the official announcement with regards to the awarding of the Games will be done in late October 2009.

The awarding and the official contract signing ceremony is scheduled on the 30th October 2009.

A five-member delegation from the APC will leave to Incheon on the 15th July 2009 for an inspection and evaluation of the venues and also meet with several Pre Organizing Committee members to discuss several areas and looked close at the progress made by the Bid Committee.
