APC Co-ordination Commission will Review Games Preparation in Guangzhou

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - On the 10th to 11th June 2009, the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) together with IPC Management team will be conducting a two day workshop, the "APC Coordination Commission" in Guangzhou. The APC team consists of APC President , APC GLC members and some secretariat staff. The IPC team involves the IPC CEO, IPC Sports Director, IPC Medical and Scientific Director and IPC Consultant. The Working group of the commission will discussing seriously on the status preparation of the 2010 Asian Para Games which include a series of plenary sessions looking at planning progress, principles, assumptions and policies as well as venue designs/plans and etc. The Working Group also will be addressing topics including sports, marketing, city operations, Para Games Family Services and Ceremonies. Entering the last one and half year before the Games, it is critical at this stage to see, if all the activities and operations to be performed at venues and the village have been planed and tested sufficiently and if appropriate resources have been put in place. The meeting will be incorporated into a formal two full day working group style meeting with a series of plenary and breakout sessions.
